From the family of John Tucker

Know how very much John loved his readers, you.
How compelled he felt to share his stories, his deepest concerns and love for his community.

Your letters gave him such joy and we thank you for responding and encouraging him to write yet another chapter.

"The time has come for my departure.  I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Now there is in store for me the crown of Righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day - not only me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing."   2 Timothy 4:6,7,8.

In His Love,
Family of John Tucker

**************

Though they were miles apart in distance and/or hours apart in time, John loved his family with his all.  Every one of them was always in his heart.

He had a strong feeling of caring and love for those downtrodden or abused, especially young people cast aside by those who should love them, those who should know better than to treat another person in that way.  Their betterment was a common theme of John's stories and he was always willing to help someone else in real life.  Although he was a private person, not expressing his sexuality publicly, he felt that by writing he could help open the eyes of some people to the inhumane treatment of a segment of society.

John had a great sense of humor, was a very intelligent man, and there was never anyone he couldn't talk with about something or other.  His life was full of experiences, good and bad, and along with research on the internet, he was able to be knowledgeable about many things to make his writing more interesting.  I believe his stories had a wide appeal, and he made a good many internet friends because of it.  He was always so good about answering emails about his stories, and never hesitated to send encouraging messages to budding writers.

I'm so glad that John had the opportunity to meet some other writers in Palm Springs recently.  He was overjoyed to be able to meet, compare notes and share anecdotes with guys with whom he had a common ground.  Special thanks to Jack Scribe, Desert Mac, Greg Bowden, and J. Smith for being there.

John always said that when it was his time, he wanted to go quickly.  Apparently that's exactly what happened and that's a relief to his family and friends.

We will miss you for a long time John, may you rest in peace now.
