Rushing blindly

Holding on by the

skin of my teeth

Heart pounding

Chest heaving

Knees shaking

My eyes close

Head thrown back

Beads of perspiration

forming against my skin

Fists clenched

Hips slamming, banging

The edge is nearer

I'm going over

Inarticulate sounds

escaping my mouth

Release is sweet.
